We’re so happy to have made it this long. Thanks to all of the musicians turned friends and everyone that has supported us in the past 1825 or so days. We’re celebrating the only way we know how: with a show, of course. It’s going down August 24th at Rec Center.
Here’s the link to the event page
We hope to see you all. Thanks again for the love and support.
and a special thank you to Jordan Deherrera of PopGangArtNet.com for constantly lending us his artistic talents and coming through with a flier for us for damn near every show. Love you homie!
New jam from Antwon. Video directed by Brandon Tauszik who did Antwon’s “Helicopter” video as well as videos for Chippy Nonstop and both Squadda Bambino & MondreMAN of Main Attrakionz. See more at BrandonTauszik.com
Antwon will be playing the Pretty Blue Presents 5 year anniversary happening August 24th at the Rec Center in Oakland.
September is rapidly approaching which means Mission Creek Oakland Music & Arts Festival is almost here! This year we are teaming up with the East Bay Express to bring you an entire month of shows! But those of us in the MCO camp need your help. We’ve started a Kickstarter campaign to help offset some of the cost of doing a festival & to help pay for some of the larger bands we are trying to book.
Last years festival was done completely out of our own pockets and although it as a great festival, we’re not trying to give up eating for a month again for the sake of shows. So if you can, please donate and help us do something amazing for Oakland.
Also in MCO news, with the launch of the Kickstarter campaign we are also announcing that we have started accepting band submissions for anyone interested in playing this years festival. Submissions are open to musicians of any genre and not limited to bands of the Bay Area. Anyone anywhere can enter, they just need to submit before the July 15th deadline.
So spread the word and help this be as great of a festival as it could be.
Thanks,
MCO
One of the best bands we’ve heard and our current favorite out of LA, Body Parts released a new video for “Doing Things,” the first song on their ep On Purpose. It’s a wonderful and incredibly cute video, exactly what one would expect from Ryder Bach and crew.
On Purpose is available on cd or as a name your own price download on their Bandcamp.
The jam of the summer this year is coming from Antwon featuring Safe with FaTees providing the beat. Such a damn good song. In fact it’s currently my favorite. It’s the first single from the upcoming Trill Team 6 mixtape to be released later in the summer.
Teaming up with the folks of Sick Sad World to bring you something awesome. Click on this flier from Jordan Deherrera (that is absolutely bananas!) to find it on Facebook.
